With each session. Advanced MSK Podiatrist and Clinical Educator Louise Fisher delves into one of the core principles of orthotic therapy, offering valuable insights and practical knowledge that will enhance your ability to address foot-related MSK conditions effectively.
Whether you're an MSK podiatrist looking to update and enhance your knowledge, or if you're interested in moving into advanced MSK foot care, this series will equip you with the essential tools and understanding to improve patient outcomes.
Stage 1 focuses on providing you with a holistic approach to the assessment of foot and ankle pain. Taking you through every aspect of the initial consultation from the patient, the complaint, the goals to practical assessment.
Stage 2 explores the most up-to-date biomechanical theories to support your orthotic therapy practice, improving knowledge, and bolstering confidence to provide informed and evidence-backed clinical decisions.
Stage 3 will bolster your knowledge of patient education, engagement, and empowerment strategies. With a focus on meaningful clinical conversations, both you and your patient will feel more confident in the treatment strategy.
Stage 4 will arm you with the knowledge and confidence to use orthotic therapy in patient management strategies, prescribing orthoses, and use updated evidence to inform your clinical decisions and practice.
Stage 5 will improve your knowledge of both prefab and custom orthotic therapy features and selections, as well as bolstering your confidence in implementing orthotic therapy in your practice.
Stage 6 will focus on outcomes and audit measures, helping to improve quality of care as well as bolstering your confidence in altering, escalating, and de-escalating the use of orthotic therapy in clinical practice.
Upon completing the 6 stages, you will be invited to a Supported Reflection & Discussion session with Louise Fisher. This session provides an opportunity for you to reflect on your learning within in a structured discussion format, enhancing your understanding of the course material. Once this has been completed, you will recieve your CPD certificate.
